The European Group on Ethics (EGE) is organizing an open roundtable on the energy mix in Europe on 18 September in Brussels that will gather participants from the scientific community, industry, civil society, policy-makers, media and the general public.
EGE is currently working on an opinion on the Ethics of Energy Mix, to be submitted to the Commission at the beginning of next year. At the request of the President of the European Commission, The Opinion will provide the Commission with policy options for Governance of these technologies.
The Roundtable debate will take place from 10h00 AM to 05h30 PM, at the European Commission: Berlaymont Building – Room WHALL - Rond Point Schuman, 1049 Brussels. All participants, if they wish to do so, are expected to contribute to the discussion that will follow the presentations. The meeting will be held in English. French and German interpretation will be provided and the Roundtable will be broadcasted on the EGE website.
