The European energy system is undergoing rapid and fundamental change across the whole continent. High shares of renewable energy, electrification and digitalization offer enormous opportunities but also hold risks, including underinvestment, congestion, imbalance, cyber and physical threats. A robust and resilient system capable of coping with these risks and reliably delivering energy to customers is needed.

The European Distribution System Operators (E.DSO) and the Ukrainian energy group DTEK will offer an outlook on what system resilience means in the context of the EU and Ukraine, two systems closely connected and members of the Energy Community.

This discussion provided us with a comprehensive overview of the challenges ahead and with an opportunity to discuss the possible solutions as well as the needed cooperation.
